Orion Stars Distributor vs Master

Master and distributor are the top rungs of the Orion Stars ladder. The words are often mixed up, so here is how we use them.

How we use the words

In everyday chat, “master” means the seat at the very top of a seller tree and “distributor” means a seat that runs agents beneath it. On a small network the same person may hold both roles in one login. On a larger one, a master funds several distributors, who each fund their own agents.

When a master seat makes sense

• You already have several distributors who want to buy through you.
• You want one place to see every branch’s totals.
• You are comfortable managing other people’s questions and reloads.

Why most sellers stay one level lower

A master seat brings more admin: more logins to create, more balances to watch and more people messaging you. If you mainly run your own agents, a distributor seat gives you everything you need without the extra layer.

Visibility across levels

Higher seats see the activity of seats below them, never the other way round. That keeps each branch private while letting the top check totals. Give every staff member their own login so actions are traceable.

Records at the top

The higher your seat, the more your sheet matters. A master or distributor should log every transfer to each seat below, with the date and amount, and reconcile it against the panel each week. Small gaps caught early are easy to explain; large ones found at month end are not.

Testing first

We can open an empty seat at the level you are considering. Look through the menus, then ask for the price. Fuller detail is on the master account page and the agent vs distributor page.
