Onboarding New Orion Stars Players the Right Way
The first hour with a new player shapes whether they stay. Here is a calm, step-by-step welcome routine any Orion Stars agent can repeat for every newcomer.

Why the first hour matters
A new player decides very quickly whether your Orion Stars room feels organised or chaotic. If their login arrives late, the app will not open and nobody explains how loading works, they drift away before they ever play a full session. A short, repeatable welcome routine fixes most of that and makes every newcomer feel looked after from the start.
Step 1: create the account before you reply
When someone asks to join, open your backend and set up their player account first, then answer. Pick a username that follows the naming pattern you already use, so the new person slots neatly into your list. Write their contact details and the date they joined in your private player notes straight away, while you still remember where they came from.
Step 2: send the login privately
Share the username and a temporary password in a direct message, never in a group chat. Ask the player to sign in once and change the password to something personal. Tell them plainly that you will never ask for their new password, which helps protect them from anyone pretending to be you.
Step 3: help them open the game
Ask which phone they use before sending instructions, then share only the steps that fit. Our guides to installing the Orion Stars app on Android, the iPhone install and the browser version cover the usual sticking points. Stay with them until they reach the lobby, because a player who never gets in never comes back.
Step 4: explain loading and cashing out up front
Spell out how a player adds credits with you, how quickly you usually load them and what a redeem request needs. Doing this on day one stops the confused messages later. If you have written your own house rules, send them now as one short message rather than a long wall of text.
Step 5: suggest a first game
A blank lobby full of icons can feel overwhelming. Recommend two or three Orion Stars titles you have tried yourself, perhaps one fish game and one slot, so the newcomer has an easy place to begin.
Step 6: check in after the first session
A day or two later, send a brief note asking whether everything worked. It takes seconds, catches small problems early and shows the player there is a real person behind the account.
Practise the routine first
We give every new client an empty Orion Stars account with zero balance to explore before paying anything. Use it to rehearse this welcome flow, from creating a test player to resetting a password, until it feels natural. Credits are prepaid, new clients currently get a 14% promo and you can keep up to 60% holding. Message us for the current price and we will help you get your first players settled smoothly.
