Orion Stars Agent Commission

People ask what commission an Orion Stars agent gets. The honest answer is that there usually is not a commission at all, in the salary sense. Agents earn from margin.

Margin, not commission

An agent buys points from a distributor, prepaid, and sells them on to players. The difference between your buying price and your selling price is your income. Nobody pays you a percentage of sales; you set your own prices within what your players will accept.

Where holding comes in

Holding describes the share of play that stays with the house over time. On Orion Stars it is commonly quoted in the 20 to 30 percent range. It affects how quickly balance cycles, but it is not a payment to you. Our holding explained page goes deeper.

Promo points

The 14% extra on orders from 5,000 points spreads your spend over more points, so each point costs you less. That widens your margin without changing what players pay.

Sub-agents and splits

Supplying sub-agents adds a second layer of margin: your buying price against the price you charge them. Agree that gap in writing before anyone starts. See sub-agent setup.

Costs people forget

• Payment fees on incoming player money.
• Your time answering messages late at night.
• Promotional credits you give away to keep players.

Watch out for promises

Anyone promising a fixed weekly commission for selling Orion Stars is describing something other than an ordinary agent seat. Be cautious.
