Orion Stars APK Update

From time to time Orion Stars players need a newer app version. Agents who explain the update calmly avoid a flood of "game not opening" messages.

Signs an update is needed

Players report that the app will not open, freezes on loading, or shows a message asking for a new version. When several players say this at once, an update is the likely cause.

Where the update comes from

Send players only to the player page at start.orionstars.vip:8580 or a link we have confirmed. APK files passed around in groups can be modified copies; tell players never to install those.

Android steps

1. Open the player page in the phone’s browser.
2. Download the Android version.
3. If asked, allow installs from the browser for this one install.
4. Install over the old app, or remove the old one first if the install fails.
5. Their existing login still works after the update; nothing needs to be recreated.

iPhone players

iPhone players follow the iOS link from the same player page. If the app will not open after an update, removing it and installing fresh usually helps.

The web lobby

While a player is updating, they can keep playing in the browser through the web version. Their balance is tied to the username, so nothing is lost.

A ready message

Write one short message explaining the update, the link and the web option. Send it to everyone at once rather than answering the same question twenty times.
